Giving Grandma and Grandpa a handmade gift is always better than buying a shirt or another coffee mug from the local retail store. These three crafts are pretty simple, but they’ll be loved and cherished.
Handmade Pocket Watch Accordion Photo Album
Destri at The Mother Huddle created this simple picture tutorial on how to make an accordion picture album that any grandparent would love to have. You can shape the accordion to fit any locket, watch or compartment. You’ll want to use Gorilla glue or E6000, Mod Podge, a lightweight fusible lining and a photo protectant spray.
Amy at Positively Splendid shared this tutorial in 2011. These keepsake tiles are super simple. All you need are some wooden tiles, Mod Podge, pictures and paint or ink. Cut your pictures to fit your tiles, and glue them to the tile using Mod Podge; when the tiles dry, ink or paint the sides and back of the tile and seal it carefully with Mod Podge (or a photo protectant spray).
Salt Dough Hand Print Ornament
Stephanie Lynn posted this instructional by Kellie from “This Blessed Nest.” It’s a simple salt dough recipe that you can make. Press your children’s hands in the dough and bake for a nice ornament or even a paper weight.
